This month The MTS caught up with Miss N.I.E for an exclusive sat down
interview about all the noise she’s making all over Dallas.

MTS: Tell us about how did you get discovered and when did you start modeling?

MISS N.I.E: Well to be candid I started appearing on television at the age of 12 years where I became a frequent guest on talk show Ricki Lake, where in my opinion feel that God was allowing for me to be used. So I could help others that could relate based on my life experiences. Having enough courage to be in front of millions of people telling my story only made me feel more confident each time because I felt like I was able to empower others and take advantage of the air time given. It was always exciting to see others excited about seeing me on TV and I enjoyed answering the many questions. Over the years I would take lots of photos that accumulated and before I realized it I had a mini portfolio. And by 20 I landed my first LEAD role in rapper Ludacris music video Splash Waterfalls, Directed by Dave Myers.

MTS: Word is you have joined up with a new camp, (Thinline Entertainment Group) and are doing well with the new Miss N.I.E brand (congratulations!).

Share with our readers about some of the steps you took and breaking into modeling?

MTS: What goes into selecting the right wardrobe, outfit, make up and
photographer on your live shoots?

MISS N.I.E: That depends on the concept. See starting off you most likely will to have to supply your own wardrobe, do your own make up and at try to understand the vision and or quality of the photographers work. The key is to be focus. Once you have established an idea image for yourself and sense of direction as far as who’s your target audience it should become easier for things to flow. But as for me it does not take much because I am so free spirited, easy to work with not to mention versatile so allowing me the opportunity to be in front of the lens while capturing most looks created my flow, I told you I just love the camera.

MTS: How is the modeling atmosphere? Are the other models nervous
about working with you?

MISS N.I.E: Hmm… Well to the best of my knowledge I seem to be the talk of the D-town. If anything people are intrigued in knowing more about MISS N.I.E so with that said I say the models are not nervous rather curious.

MTS: Do you get homesick when you are away working, especially on
fashion tours? How do you cope with that?

MISS N.I.E: Touchy topic, of course I get homesick I have a 5year old daughter named Arella –Imani she normally goes everywhere I go if not she with my parents. So yes it can get difficult being with out her but I know she is in great hands. Another thing is we all have a wonderful understanding, supportive loving type of relationship.

MTS: The Thinline Entertainment Group team has been strongly
supportive of your career and other homegrown models, how is your
relationship with the people there?

MISS N.I.E: Thinline Entertainment Group has truly been a blessing in disguise. I mean prior to them I was a freelance model, which means I did my own thing, and although I was doing well Thinline Entertainment Group speed up the process by creating a more structure like environment, the team was supportive in my vision and showed a strong determination by marketing me by utilizing various strategies that would ultimately open the doors to success for all of us but also an opportunity to stand out and be beautiful bold and unique. This way I am able to reach another goal, which is to empower others.

MTS: There are more and more new faces debuting on the MTS Mag., what do you think is your unique feature or characteristic that stands out from other magazine publications and being the cover girl for December’s issue of The MTS Mag.?

MISS N.I.E: I must admit I am very photogenic and I have a distinct look as well as a kind given heart. Personally my best assets are my lips, eyes, legs and now that my hair is shaved off my bone structure because it defines my look even more allowing me to stand out and be recognized for all my gifts, talents and abilities. I hope I didn’t sound arrogant I have just learned over the years to appreciate what God has blessed me with. Being the cover girl for MTS Magazine Dec. issue is definitely going to be a good look. The idea would hopefully set a trend starting here in Dallas, OMG! These women need to put away the lace front wigs and huge eyelashes whatever happen to natural beauty. I mean not hating nor judging but why is it so popular in today’s society to look fake. Fake breast, bottom, hair, eyes and the list can go on. But I guess to each is own. I’m just being innovative and doing me.

MTS: Are there any goals that you would like to achieve? Tell us about it.

MISS N.I.E: Of course the ultimate goal is to empower others while creating some sort of movement. I genuinely love all people that is one of the reasons I picked up Spanish, ASL and currently in the process of learning Vietnamese and Korean in Gods time, I would love to take on many more languages and be fluent. I personally feel communication is the key to opportunities. Aside from that I would love to be on the cover of the Paris VOUGE magazine or at least modeling somewhere overseas. Man I’m a Libra so have so many ideas and goals to accomplish hmm… most of all writing a book to motivate and inspire other woman.

MTS: What is the one most amazing moment that you have experienced so
far in your career?

MISS N.I.E: OK truth it was a runway show I did for a charity event few years back and one the designers was Gucci I made a bold statement when I came out on the runway with Gucci jeans and topless my top was henna considering I am an A-cup. Women approached me after the show saying how they wish they could be confident enough not to wear a bra with out pads let alone expose the truth about their size. See at times I may complain or even improvise to create the type of look I want for that moment but in it all I am grateful the way God made me. So with that I must say that moment stood out amongst them all because again I felt like I played a part in empowering the women in the audience.

MTS: Tell our readers where to find you and how to stay connected with
you online?

MISS N.I.E:
Sure. You can find me on WWW.MISSNIE.COM, WWW.THINLINEENTERTAINMENTGROUP.COM, WWW.JACIME.COM,
follow me on twitter me at @LaBellaDiamond or simply Google me.

MTS: Lastly, how do you relax when you are not working? Is there a
certain interesting hobby of you that you would like to share?

MISS N.I.E: If I am not spending time with my daughter or writing poetry with my glass of wine, I’ m in a Jacuzzi or bath tub relaxing. I love warm water it’s so therapeutic.

The MTS was glad to sat down with Miss N.I.E, her story has won the heart of most readers and looking forward to the next N.I.E interview.
